Picking numbers one by one at an online craps table gets tedious fast. The Field Bet: One Roll, Seven Numbers

The Field sits in a huge arc along the bottom of the virtual felt. Drop your chips there, and you instantly cover seven numbers on a single toss: 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, and 12.

Winning Numbers: Hit 3, 4, 9, 10, or 11, and you get paid even money (1:1).

Spread Bets: Multi-Number Formations That Ride

Spread Bets work differently. Instead of relying on a one-roll sprint, they use multi-roll Place Bets that stay live during the Intermediate stage (Puck ON) until the shooter rolls a 7. Better yet, online platforms include one-click shortcut buttons to lay these patterns down in seconds:

Across ($54 or $27 Units): Puts money on every single box number (4, 5, 6, 8, 9, and 10). A standard $54 Across bet drops $10 on the 4, 5, 9, and 10, plus $12 each on the 6 and 8.
Inside ($22 or $44 Units): Targets only the interior numbers: 5, 6, 8, and 9. A basic $22 Inside setup puts $5 on the 5 and 9, and $6 on the 6 and 8.
Outside ($20 or $40 Units): Covers just the outer edges: 4, 5, 9, and 10.
Uptown and Downtown: Uptown bets the top end (8, 9, 10), while Downtown covers the low end (4, 5, 6).

A Field Bet delivers instant action on 16 out of 36 dice combos, but you are exposed to high house friction if you spam it roll after roll. Spread Bets demand a steeper upfront investment in Canadian dollars, but they let you ride out a decent roll and stack payouts over time until a 7 wipes the board. For disciplined players, Spread Bets offer a far more stable way to work the virtual felt.
