They let you put extra contract money on the board mid-round, using the same true-odds math covered across our craps guides. A Come Bet works almost like a Pass Line wager, except you place it during the Intermediate Roll while the puck reads “ON” and a Point is already set.
Once you see how these chips travel across the screen, tracking your active money gets simple.
How a Come Bet Moves Across the Table
A Come Bet plays out in two steps:
- The Come Box: Drop your chips right into the “COME” area on the screen. The next dice throw serves as a personal comeout roll for that wager. Roll a 7 or 11, and you get paid instantly at 1:1. Roll a 2, 3, or 12, and that money is gone on the spot.
- Moving to a Box Number: If the dice land on 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10, the software shifts your chips out of the COME area and puts them straight into that specific number box. That number is now the target for your bet.
As soon as your chips land inside that box, you are locked in. You cannot take the wager down or turn it off. You win if that exact number rolls again before a 7, and you lose everything if a 7 shows up first.
Backing Come Bets with True Odds
A flat Come Bet is fine, but backing it with Odds is where the real value sits. Once your bet settles into a number box, you can stack extra Odds chips behind it. On most platforms, you just click your active bet inside the box.
These Odds pay at true mathematical rates with zero house edge:
- 4 and 10: Pay 2:1 on your Odds.
- 5 and 9: Pay 3:2 on your Odds.
- 6 and 8: Pay 6:5 on your Odds.
Screen Terms You Need to Know
Canadian online interfaces use a couple of standard alerts for these bets:
- Off on Comeout: When a round ends and the main table puck flips back to “OFF”, the software automatically deactivates the Odds part of your Come Bet for that roll. Your flat bet stays live.
- Off and On: Say you already have a Come Bet riding on the 8, and you put down a fresh Come Bet. If the next roll hits 8, the software pays out the win on your original bet and immediately drops the new one right into its place. You will see “Off and On” pop up in the roll log.
