This policy explains how Bold Gambler collects, uses, and protects personal information for visitors to boldgambler.com/ca. It’s written to meet the requirements of Canada’s federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Québec’s Law 25 for residents of that province.

1. Who we are

Bold Gambler is a sports betting content, review, and comparison network operating in Canada, Brazil, Argentina, the United States, and the United Kingdom. We are not a sportsbook or casino operator. We don’t process deposits, withdrawals, or bets, and we don’t collect banking details or identity-verification (KYC) data — those activities happen directly on the licensed operators’ own platforms when you follow a link from our site.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us: your name and email address if you contact us, subscribe to our newsletter, or leave a comment.

Information collected automatically: IP address, approximate location (country/province), device and browser type, pages viewed, and cookie data.

3. Cookies

4. How we handle your information — our principles

In line with PIPEDA’s Fair Information Principles, we:

  • Are accountable for the personal information we hold;
  • Only collect what we need for a clearly identified purpose;
  • Ask for your consent before using data for anything beyond running the site (e.g., newsletter, advertising);
  • Limit use and disclosure to the purposes described here;
  • Keep information accurate and only as long as necessary;
  • Protect it with appropriate safeguards;
  • Give you the ability to challenge our compliance at any time.

5. Who we share information with

We don’t sell personal information. We share only what’s needed with the providers that keep the site running: hosting (Hostinger), security and CDN (Cloudflare), and analytics/advertising (Google Analytics, Google Ads).

6. Cross-border data transfers

Some of our providers (Google, Cloudflare) process data on servers outside Canada, including in the United States. Where that happens, we rely on providers that maintain protections comparable to Canadian standards, as required under PIPEDA and Law 25.

7. Retention

We keep contact and comment data while the related content stays live, and newsletter data until you unsubscribe.

8. Security

Site-wide HTTPS encryption, Cloudflare protection against attacks, and restricted access to administrative systems.

9. Your rights

You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, request corrections, withdraw consent at any time, and ask us to demonstrate our compliance with this policy. Québec residents additionally have the right to request the deletion of information and, in limited cases, to be informed about automated decision-making.

To exercise these rights, contact our Privacy Officer (section 12). If unresolved, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (federal) or, for Québec residents, to the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec (CAI).

10. Responsible gambling and minimum age

This site is intended for adults of legal gambling age in their province (18 or 19 depending on where you live). Gambling carries financial risk. Gambling is regulated provincially in Canada — by AGCO/iGaming Ontario in Ontario, and, as of Alberta’s regulated iGaming market launch on July 13, 2026, by AGLC/AiGC in Alberta — and each licensed operator is required to offer self-exclusion and responsible-gambling tools.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
