Account verification failed? Reasons and fixes
Verification usually fails because of a blurry or cropped photo, an expired document, a name or address that does not match your account, or a selfie that does not match your ID. Re-upload clear, valid documents and contact support if it fails again.
When verification failed appears on your betting account, the cause is usually small and fixable. Operators must check who you are, so a clear document and matching details solve most cases.
Common reasons verification failed
Poor image quality is the top cause: blur, glare, cut-off corners or a dark photo. The document must be in date and of a type the operator accepts for that check, and the name, date of birth or address must match your account. Many operators want a proof of address that is recent, often under three months old. A selfie that does not match the photo on the ID causes failures too, and so does a small difference in details, such as a missing middle name or a flat number left out of the address. Most of these are fixed in one attempt once you know which one applies.
How to fix it
- Read the message, which usually says what was wrong.
- Fix the details in your profile first if they are wrong.
- Upload clear, full-colour photos of the original document.
- Use a document from the operator’s list of accepted documents.
- If it fails twice, contact support and ask for a manual review.
Timings vary, so allow a few days for a manual review, and keep the rejection message in case you need to quote it.
Why it matters for your money
A failed check can pause withdrawals and sometimes betting until the check is complete, but your balance is not lost. Operators rarely publish a limit on attempts, so after a couple of failures, contact support instead of uploading the same file again. Verifying early, ideally before your first deposit, means a payout is never held up by a document problem you could have fixed in minutes.
