In the UK, a “Game Contribution” or “Weighting” table is how bookmakers ensure you aren’t clearing your bonus using low-risk strategies. Under the 2026 UKGC regulations, bonuses must be product-specific, meaning your contribution depends on whether you are using a Sportsbook or a Casino bonus.

Sportsbook Welcome Offers

Most standard bets count 100% toward your requirement if they meet the Minimum Odds (usually 1/2 or 1.50).

  • 100% Contributors: Single bets (Match Result, Correct Score), Accumulators (Accas), and standard Horse Racing wagers.
  • 0% Contributors: Cashed-out bets, Draw No Bet/Asian Handicaps (due to the stake-back safety net), and Virtual Sports.

Casino Welcome Offers

Contributions are determined by the “house edge.” Games where you have a better mathematical chance usually contribute less.

  • 100% Contributors: Most Video Slots, Scratchcards, and Keno.
  • Partial Contributors (10%–20%): Table games like Roulette or Blackjack. A £10 bet may only clear £1 or £2 of your total wagering.
  • 0% Contributors: Live Dealer games are often excluded or set at a tiny 5% rate. High RTP (Return to Player) slots—like Blood Suckers—are frequently blacklisted because they make bonuses too easy to clear.

The “No-Risk” Guardrail

Operators will void bonuses if they detect Minimal Risk Wagering. For example, betting on both Red and Black simultaneously in Roulette to hit a wagering target is a breach of terms. Even if a game is listed as a 100% contributor, this specific behaviour will lead to your bonus being confiscated.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use my sportsbook bonus on casino slots?

No. Since January 2026, the UKGC has banned mixed-product bonuses. If you have a sports bonus, it can only be used on sports markets. You cannot “cross-over” to slots to clear your wagering.

What is a “High RTP” slot and why is it excluded?

High RTP slots (usually 97% or higher) pay back a larger percentage of stakes to players over time. Because these games have a lower house edge, bookmakers often exclude them to prevent punters from clearing bonuses with very little risk.

Do Each-Way bets count toward my sportsbook wagering?

Usually, yes, but the “place” part of the bet must also meet the minimum odds. If the win part is 5/1 but the place part effectively drops below the 1/2 threshold, the entire bet might be disqualified from your contribution.
