Last updated:

Bac Bo is a live casino game in which four dice settle a baccarat-style bet. You back Player, Banker or Tie before the throw, each side of the table adds up two dice, and the higher total takes the round. Evolution released the game in January 2022 as a mix of baccarat and Sic Bo, and this hub gives US readers the short version plus eight guides on the rules, payouts, odds, the Tie bet, road maps, betting systems, baccarat and the law. Every probability and session figure here was computed in code from the 1,296 equally likely dice combinations, so you can check the logic instead of taking it on trust. The legal material comes from federal and state texts that we read in October 2026, and nothing on these pages predicts the next throw or tells you where a particular table is offered.

The Game in Six Questions

Start here if you only have a minute. Each row answers one question and points to the guide that does the full work.

What the Dice Decide

Think of two small contests held at once. Player’s two dice make a total from 2 to 12, Banker’s two dice make another, and the bigger total wins. Equal totals make a tie, which has a bet of its own. Nobody draws a card and no rule adds a third die, so the result is fixed the moment the dice stop. Evolution describes each of the four dice as thrown by its own automatic shaker set into the table.

Player and Banker are labels borrowed from baccarat, and neither side has an edge over the other. Each wins 575 of the 1,296 combinations, a 44.37% chance per round, and a tie takes the remaining 146. The full-round walkthrough follows the action from the betting window to the payout.

Payouts and Cost at a Glance

The table gives the standard rates. Table rules can differ by operator, so confirm them on the rules panel before you stake.

BetPays on a winChance per roundHouse edge
Player1 to 144.37%1.13%
Banker1 to 144.37%1.13%
Tie4 to 1 up to 88 to 111.27%4.48%

On a tie, Player and Banker bets lose 10% of the stake and get the rest back. That charge, spread over all rounds, is where the 1.13% comes from.

Three Numbers Worth Remembering

  1. The sides cost 1.13%. Player and Banker pay even money on a win, and the tie charge is the entire house edge.
  2. The Tie bet costs 4.48%. That is about 3.2 times the cost of the sides, and its top rate of 88 to 1 belongs to totals of 2 and 12 only.
  3. A run of 7 is ordinary. In 100 decided rounds, a streak of at least 7 for the same side shows up 54.23% of the time.

No staking plan moves any of these figures. Flat betting, the Martingale and a three-step Paroli each lose 1.13% of the chips they put in play, and the betting systems guide shows the test. Baccarat’s Banker bet is a shade cheaper at 1.06%, and the baccarat comparison sets the two games side by side.

It depends on the state. No federal statute that we read makes online Bac Bo legal or illegal on its own. On our reading, real-money online casino play is lawful where a state has authorized it, and the state texts we read in October 2026 show New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan, West Virginia, Connecticut, Delaware and Rhode Island, with a minimum age of 21. None of those texts names Bac Bo, and we did not confirm which operators offer it in which state. The legal and safety guide covers the federal and state sources, how to check a license and where to complain.

The Eight Guides

Each guide stands alone and closes with four reader questions. Read them in order for a full course, or jump to the one you need.

Where to Play Bac Bo in the US

Pick a table by what you can verify. First confirm that your state licenses online casino play and that the operator appears on the regulator’s own list, opened from the regulator’s website. Then open the rules panel and look for three things: the Tie rates, what happens to Player and Banker bets on a tie, and the minimum and maximum stake. Operators set their own limits, timings and layouts, so the figures in this series describe the standard game and not any one table.

Limits, Time-Outs and Help

A chip has a price you can size before the first round. At 1 chip a round, an hour of 120 rounds puts 120 chips in play and is expected to cost 1.35 on Player or Banker, with a typical swing of about 10.32 either side. Set the limit and the stop time before you start, and stop there. The US responsible gaming page explains how to use deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion, and the National Problem Gambling Helpline, 1-800-MY-RESET, takes calls and texts.
