Sixteen teams will compete for the Larry O\u2019Brien Trophy in a best-of-seven series format<sup><\/sup><sup><\/sup><sup><\/sup><sup><\/sup><sup><\/sup><sup><\/sup><sup><\/sup><sup><\/sup><sup><\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-first-round-matchups\">First-Round Matchups<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"p-rc_a623f470830cdaf3-190\">The postseason bracket was finalized following the conclusion of the Play-In Tournament on Friday, April 17<sup><\/sup>. The Orlando Magic secured the No. 8 seed in the East by defeating the Charlotte Hornets 121-90<sup><\/sup>. Meanwhile, the Phoenix Suns secured the final spot in the West with a 111-96 victory over the Golden State Warriors<sup><\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first-round matchups are set as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Eastern Conference:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>(1) Detroit Pistons vs. (8) Orlando Magic <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>(2) Boston Celtics vs. (7) Philadelphia 76ers <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>(3) N.Y. Lakers vs. (5) Houston Rockets <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-title-favorites-and-market-odds\">Title Favorites and Market Odds<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"p-rc_a623f470830cdaf3-199\">The Oklahoma City Thunder enter the playoffs as the clear overall favorites to win the NBA Championship, with odds set at 2.05<sup><\/sup>. They are also the top contenders to win the Western Conference at 1.58<sup><\/sup>. In the East, the Boston Celtics lead the pack with odds of 2.50 to win their conference <sup><\/sup>, and 6.50 to take home the championship<sup><\/sup>.
