The striker joined Arsenal in July 2025 after scoring 97 goals in 102 appearances for Sporting. Historically, Arsenal are unbeaten in five European meetings against the Portuguese side, recording two wins and three draws. Mikel Arteta&#8217;s squad secured a comfortable 5-1 victory at the Alvalade earlier this season. However, Sporting eliminated Arsenal on penalties in the 2022\/23 Europa League. They also arrive with momentum, having recently overturned a 3-0 first-leg deficit to beat Bod\u00f8\/Glimt 5-0 in extra time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Looking at their European campaigns, Arsenal remain unbeaten this season with nine wins and one draw. Meanwhile, Sporting have recorded six wins, one draw, and three defeats, scoring 22 goals and conceding 14. Crucially, Rui Borges\u2019 side have won all five of their home Champions League games this season, scoring 16 times and conceding just three.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The match odds favour the Premier League team. For the first leg, Arsenal are 18\/25 to win. A Sporting victory is 15\/4, and the draw is 29\/10.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For a team to win with both teams scoring, Arsenal are 11\/4, whilst the same outcome for Sporting is 8\/1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Looking at the next round, the odds have Arsenal at 1\/7 to qualify for the semi-finals, compared to Sporting at 9\/2.
