It has applied in Great Britain since 19 January 2026.

What the wagering requirement cap changed

10x cap: a £10 bonus can require at most £100 of play. Under a 50x requirement, the same bonus would mean £500.

No cross-product offers: a promotion cannot require two or more product types, such as a sports bet plus casino play.

Lower is allowed: operators can offer less than 10x, or no wagering at all.

These points come from the Gambling Commission, and offers from before the rule had different terms. The multiple in your terms is what counts, so check the exact figure in the offer. If it is above 10x on an offer for players in Great Britain, ask support to explain. Last checked October 2026.

The max bet rule

The max bet rule is a separate term that limits how much you can stake at one time while a bonus is active. It is written in the bonus terms, for example £5 per bet or spin, and it usually covers the period when bonus money is in play. Breaking it is a common reason winnings are removed, because the operator may void the bonus and the winnings made with it.

Find the limit before you play, set your stake below it and check it each time you change game, because some terms limit every stake while a bonus is active and some only limit bonus funds. The rule is not the same as the legal slot stake limits, which are set by the regulator.

How to check your own offer

Find the wagering multiple in the terms and multiply the bonus by that number to see the total play required. Check how each game counts towards wagering, because weightings differ, and screenshot the terms in case of a dispute. If you broke the max bet rule by accident, contact support straight away and explain, then use the complaints process if the term is applied.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

    <details class="faq-item">

Does the 10x cap apply to every offer?

            It applies to bonus wagering requirements on offers for Great Britain. The multiple in your terms is what counts, so check the exact figure in the offer.

    </details>

    <details class="faq-item">

Can an operator set a lower requirement?

            Yes.
