By itself, a flat Pass Line bet carries a small house edge of 1.41%. But backing it up with Pass Line Odds opens up something rare in any casino, online or live. You get an extra wager with an absolute 0.00% house advantage &#8211; one of several bets broken down across our <a href=\"https:\/\/boldgambler.com\/ca\/hub\/craps\/\">full craps section<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-how-the-pass-line-works\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">How the Pass Line Works<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Put your chips on the Pass Line during the Comeout Roll while the <a href=\"https:\/\/boldgambler.com\/ca\/casino\/craps\/craps-puck-game-stages-guide\/\">Puck<\/a> reads OFF. It pays even money (1:1) based on what the dice do next:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Wins on Comeout:<\/strong> Rolling 7 or 11.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Loses on Comeout:<\/strong> Rolling 2, 3, or 12.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Intermediate Stage:<\/strong> Roll a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10, and that number becomes the Point. At this stage, your Pass Line turns into a contract bet. The software locks it in place until the shooter either hits the Point again to win or rolls a 7 to lose.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-pass-line-odds-the-bet-with-zero-house-edge\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pass Line Odds: The Bet With Zero House Edge<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once the Point is set and the Puck flips to ON, the software unlocks a second betting zone right behind your original chip. That is the Odds bet, often called Taking Odds. Unlike the flat bet out front, Odds bets are flexible. You can raise them, lower them, or take them off the felt whenever you want during the round.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The casino has zero statistical edge here. They do not shortchange you with even-money payouts; they pay True Odds, matching the actual math of rolling your number before a 7:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Points 6 &amp; 8:<\/strong> Pays 6:5 ($6 CAD profit on a $5 CAD bet).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Points 5 &amp; 9:<\/strong> Pays 3:2 ($3 CAD profit on a $2 CAD bet).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Points 4 &amp; 10:<\/strong> Pays 2:1 ($2 CAD profit on a $1 CAD bet).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Say the Point is 4. You have $5 CAD on the Pass Line and drop $10 CAD on Odds behind it. When the 4 hits, you collect $20 CAD in pure profit on the Odds, plus $5 CAD on the flat bet. Add your original $15 CAD stake back in, and your balance jumps by $35 CAD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-how-max-odds-limits-work-3x-4x-5x\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">How Max Odds Limits Work (3x-4x-5x)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since the house makes no mathematical profit on Odds, casinos cap how much you can put down. Most Canadian platforms run on standard 3x-4x-5x limits based on your initial Pass Line size:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>3x Max Odds on Points 4 and 10:<\/strong> Like $15 Odds behind a $5 Pass Line bet.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>4x Max Odds on Points 5 and 9:<\/strong> Like $20 Odds behind a $5 Pass Line bet.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>5x Max Odds on Points 6 and 8:<\/strong> Like $25 Odds behind a $5 Pass Line bet.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This setup exists for a clean reason. Maxing out your Odds under this system always generates a total profit equal to 6 times your base bet, giving you a total return of 7 times that initial chip. Put down a $10 Pass Line bet, back it with full Odds on any Point, and a win sends back $70 CAD in total ($10 flat profit, $60 Odds profit, plus your returned wagers).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Taking full Odds is simple math.
